The Matthews Farm Share

The Matthews Farm is a fully functioning organic farm in Woodinville, supplying organic produce to local residents and restaurants. The farm helps keep us fully in tune with the land and the community we love. It also demonstrates our belief that wine is not just a drink, but an experience—one that is best when paired with good food and good people.

Matthews offers a unique farm share program. The farm share is offered to approximately 30 members during the growing season, running mid-June through early November (20 weeks). Each week, farm share members can pick up a box which includes fresh produce and flowers from our farm, custom breads from a local bakery, local eggs and honey, custom cheese and butter, and hand-selected wines from our current Matthews vintages, as well as several older wines from our Matthews library. WEEKLY FARM SHARE BOX

Each week our members can expect a seasonal variety in their Farm Share box. You can expect:

  • Fresh vegetables & flowers: harvested from what is available from our farm (selection will vary depending on season and cooperation of the PNW weather).
  • Bread: 1 freshly baked custom loaf of bread.
  • Eggs: 1 half-dozen (6) pasture raised eggs from a local farm.
  • Dairy: 1 fresh dairy product (cheese or butter) from a local dairy.
  • Wine: 1 bottle selected by Matthews Winery to complement the week’s bounty.
  • Honey: 1 quart of local organic honey is included twice during the season.
  • Recipe and recommendation sheet: a weekly sheet with recipe or suggestions of how to prep the items in your farm box.
  • Surprises: several unique items we source from local growers in the area

FARM WORK DAY

There will be one work day and party at Matthews where you’ll have a chance to see and experience how the farm operates, as well as meet your fellow shareholders. Your workday will end with a family-friendly feast prepared by a selected chef and team, where we all sit down together and enjoy a late summer evening communal meal. Date TBD.

In addition to the farm work day, there will be six evenings during the season where a farm-to-table family-style meal will be prepared by an award winning chef. Each meal will include produce from our farm, wines from Matthews, and other local delicacies. Members will have the first opportunity to make a reservation; ticket price is $125 per person.
