"The 2015 Claret checks in as a 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Franc and the rest Malbec and Petit Verdot which spent 20 months in 51% new French oak. Cassis, blueberries, leafy herbs and liquid flower notes all emerge from this medium to full-bodied, lively, fresh, elegant blend that shines for its purity and sheer drinkability."

Fermentation: 53% Concrete Tanks, 43% Stainless Steel Tanks
Winemaking Practices: We do the majority of our cluster sorting in the vineyard prior to harvest, which allows the fruit to arrive at the winery without need for much additional sorting. We also schedule our picks for the colder hours of the morning, to ensure the fruit arrives at the winery in the very best condition.
Vintage Notes: 2015 was a warm year, to be sure, but everything aligned in such a beautiful, synchronistic way, allowing the fruit to retain freshness despite high temperatures. Many favor this vintage as a truly great one for the Columbia Valley, producing wines with energy and vitality. We are excited about the balance captured in this vintage.
