2017 Reserve Sauvignon Blanc

Sauvignon Blanc is the quintessential Bordeaux white, and our source for this varietal in the Yakima Valley provides the quality of fruit that allows us to create our Matthews “Reserve” Sauvignon Blanc. To create this Reserve Sauvignon Blanc, we work with precision to ensure these flavors are balanced and accentuated. Explosive aromatics are met with a mouthfeel that is complex and textured. This wine grows in depth from the bouquet to the first sip, and it will continue to develop for years to come.

Additional Information about this vintage

Harvest: The 2017 Matthews Reserve Sauvignon Blanc comes exclusively from Boushey Vineyard in the Yakima Valley. The fruit is picked at first light when temperatures are cooler. The grapes are hand sorted at the vineyard and then shipped to the winery early in the morning, in refrigerated trucks.

Food Pairing: This is a refined Sauvignon Blanc with a balance of fruit, freshness and minerality. Pairs nicely with freshly shucked oysters, goat cheese and fresh summer veggies. With a little age, Sauvignon Blanc can be paired richer foods like fois gras and blue cheese.
